Explore special interests with other like-minded campers while enjoying all Walcamp has to offer, too! Specialty camps are organized by interest and age groups (school grades completed).
Live it up like you’re nocturnal during this week of midnight madness! Sleep all day and stay out all night while you learn about the night life of animals, go behind the scenes at a late night restaurant, and learn about the stars and God’s creativity on an AWE-stronomy hike.

YOUTH SPORTS
Spend your days playing sports during this low pressure, high fun week of athletics. Campers may participate in soccer, football, baseball, archery, canoe races, and much more. Work on your athletic skills as well as focus on teamwork, and how to be a Christian athlete. (Activities vary by week)

We’re cooking up some fun with this new week of Kitchen madness! Cook up tasty meals for yourself and your cabin mates with lessons from our own Walcamp kitchen staff, while also learning about kitchen safety and sanitation. Go home with a stack of delicious recipes to make for your family and friends!

Express your inner artist at Art Beat camp! Spend the week creating masterpieces using “out of the box” creative mediums. Learn how to use nature as your paintbrush with natural art including pottery Native American style!

ROCKET CAMP
Blast off into adventure with this week of rocket fun. Spend time everyday learning about rocketry while you build your own model rocket. When you’re finished, listen to the oohs and awes of your fellow campers when you press the button and launch your rocket into the stratosphere!

HORSEBACK CAMP
Hold onto your hats because this week at Horseback camp is a wild ride! Spend time every day at Eagles Wings Equestrian Center in Kirkland, Illinois, getting to know your new trusty steed, and learning how to ride like a champion. Eagles Wings is a Christian Equestrian center where you will learn about the roles horses play in Gods word.

TREE HOUSE VILLAGE
Live sleepover style with friends, cook over a campfire, live a rustic more outdoors life but still have a cabin in the trees. Campers grow in community and find skills they never knew they had in this week of exploration and discovery. Allow God to transform you as you live and play in His amazing creation.

Camp in the tree houses and take a one day canoe trip down the Kishwaukee River. Learn about cooperation and adventure while “navigating” God’s plan for our lives.

Live in the wilderness and make your own shelter out of what God provides. Campers learn life skills, independence, team work, and experience a new adventure. Leave technology behind and experience God in His amazing creation.

ROCK RIVER CANOE TRIP
Spend three days canoeing down the beautiful Rock River. Campers grow personally in Christian leadership by working together as a team, learning to “paddle through” challenges and discovering the Great Navigator, Jesus Christ. Let him guide you on this exciting adventure that you will never forget.

WHISPERING PINES BACKPACKING
Campers and Walcamp staff will head to Hawn State Park in southern Missouri . Campers will hike 11 miles over 2 days on the Whispering Pines Trail and work as a team to carry everything they need to eat and sleep with them as they go. Learn about how God is guiding your footsteps during this hiking adventure that you will remember for years to come.
