Servant Projects - Walcamp has a list of over a dozen much-needed projects that are great opportunities for your Youth Group Servant Event or Eagle Scout Project. Some of these projects may be eligible for assistance from Thrivent Financial for Lutherans, who will often donate money to buy materials and supplies, such as log splitters, lumber and paint.
Annual Events - Join the many volunteers who pitch in once a year with Walcamp's annual events, such as the Annual Golf Outing, and the Annual Dinner & Auction., and Fall Festival
Fund Raising Projects - Your group can conduct a fund raising project such as a car wash, spaghetti dinner, or corn roast to help Walcamp buy things such as canoes, a 4-wheeler (ATV) for emergencies in the woods and other uses around camp,
Special Needs Programs - You can help adults and children with developmental disabilities by being paired with a camper during a summer Special Needs Program week or our Winter Retreat Weekend. Create a great camp experience for both you and your buddy.
Junior Servants are a vital part of Walcamp's summer program and work with counselors and campers to complete daily responsibilities. Junior Servants must be 15 years of age or older. It's a great way to grow in your faith and have fun.
Nurse/Medic of the Week (nurse, doctor, EMT, etc.)
Maintenance Volunteers - opportunities are available in many areas, to help with lawn mowing, plumbing, building repairs, tree trimming, log splitting, etc. In the area of maintenance, we can never have too many qualified helping hands at Walcamp.
Spring Worker Bee - help prepare for the summer camping season with hands-on service activities, such as clearing trees and brush and doing trail maintenance, doing gardening, building small shed or wood boxes for storing dry fire wood, painting picnic tables or a bath house.
