Summer Special Needs Programs
In partnership with Voice of Care, Walcamp has served individuals with mental and physical challenges for over twenty years. These integrated weeks offer the camp experience to individuals with Special Needs alongside other camp programs, and are open to campers with previous camp experience and/or those meeting certain qualifications for these sessions. Up to 14 campers can attend each session.
Special Needs Volunteer
(Adults or Completed Grades 9-12)
This program offers the opportunity for adults and teens to serve others in a unique way, and is designed for individuals who have completed their Freshman year
in high school and older. Sign up as an individual or bring your youth group for this life changing experience!
Volunteers arrive at 2pm on each Sunday for a mandatory Special Needs Sensitivity Training session before their campers arrive. During the week
volunteers participate with their camper in Bible studies, activities and games alongside Walcamp staff members and camp groups. To register, call 815.784.5141 or email registrar@walcamp.org
