Be Our Valentine - I Walcamp Recurring Gifts Are Growing

This month, we are asking our friends, families, and others to prayerfully consider becoming an I Walcamper or increasing your current gift. Here's why:

  • Your gifts give us the ability to budget more accurately during the months when we have fewer groups and guests spending time at camp.
  • Partnering with us makes you a part of the year-round team that is dedicated to serving Christ through this ministry.
  • Monthly gifts remind us of the work being done by YOU, the giver, and we share that JOY with the people whom we serve. YOU become part of that conversation.

Walcamp continues to plan for the future of this ministry, and financially, we need more. Costs continue to rise, and the need for outreach in our communities is great. Please consider this request, and contact us if you have any questions.

~ Angie, Development Director Walcamp Outdoor Ministry

We ♥ Our Supporters

Thank you to all who have joined as new monthly supporters and to those who have increased their gifts. We have added 10 new donors to the monthly program since the re-launch in September. Praise God! We love seeing this program grow, and we need more. Do you know someone who loves Walcamp and might consider supporting us with a monthly gift? Let them know about our goal of 60 new donors this year, and pass along this email, our website, or our phone number and we'll do the rest. And, please pray about this need because we know that God hears our prayers and He will answer!

Agape Program Serves

Walcamp began serving individuals with special needs many years ago with the beginning of our Agape camp (formerly Handi-Camp) retreats and programs. Throughout the years, many of its participants have grown up with us and continue to attend as adults.

  • Weekend retreats occur twice a year and run Friday night until Sunday morning. Campers experience fun activities like hikes, bowling, crafts, campfire songs, devotions, and MORE!
  • Week-long summer Agape camp brings all the traditional fun of a summer overnight experience with friends who return year after year!

This program is a beloved ministry of Walcamp, but it currently needs more support. We are looking for an individual or group of individuals who have a passion for special needs ministry. The focus is to plan and host 2 weekend Agape retreats per year and 1 week-long Agape summer camp program. Responsibilities may include:

  • organizing volunteers and coordinating schedules alongside camp staff
  • planning activities
  • communicating with attendees and their families

You or someone you know may be a great fit for this ministry. Contact Bill by email or phone at 815-784-5141 to ask questions and find out more.
